Programs and Services
Programs and Services Offered:
Accomodation, education and support counselling for victims of violence. Group and Individual work, Child Support, Child Development Specialist, Outreach Counsellors, on site School Program,
CHAT room for single mothers
Project Child Recovery for child witnesses of family violence and children who have experienced bullying.
Programs and Services Provided by Parnters:
YWCA Harbour house works in partnership with Chinook Health- Family Violence treatment providers to provide partner checks for victims of violence.
In partnership with the Domestic Violence Action Team, Outreach staff attend family violence docket court and work with victims who are asking for charges to be dropped. Part of this work is delivering an information component educating victims to safety measures, cycle and dynamics of violence and legal supports for safety.
